Hello, all you cupcakers out there! I am a fellow cupcake lover and have been making them for years. I started by making cupcakes to bring to family parties and events. I love to think of new ideas while walking around a candy store. I get ideas from all sorts of books and picutres, but I love to come up with my own! My favorite cupcake books right now are Karen Tack and Alan Richardson's Hello, Cupcake! and What's New, Cupcake books! They are fantastic at making cupcakes out of everything and anything that has to do with icing, chocolate and candy! I am not a fan of fondant, and never use it! I started my own little 'at home business' just this summer. People started to ask me if I could make them cupcakes for their kid's birthday parties and/or events. So I said sure, anyway to spread the cupcake love! The name the cupcake bug came about while trying to figure out a name for my little business. My mother-in-law has always called me HeidiBug for no reason in particular and my husband calls me Bug. So I thought it fitting to keep a part of my nickname in my company name. And then The Cupcake Bug was started!
Cupcakes are super popular right now and alot of people enjoy eating them but just do not have the time or patience to make them. That's where I come in!
I have loved cupcakes for such along time, I'm glad the rest of the world finally caught on!
